Due to the time scale this year and the small number of greens available
with lights the Knockout Cup and the
Gold Cup will be played this year
after the league fixtures for the 1st.
division and 2nd. division respectively
As usual they will be played on four
at home and four away with the venues for the finals decided in due
course. There will be one draw which
will be carried right through the
competitions.

At the B.C.G.B.A. rules revision meeting held on 8th. January some
new and some clarifications were agreed. The £1 per player per club
will be introduced this year for a mini
mum of three yeas and will be ring-
fenced for development of the game.
The maximum weight of a bowl was
set at 3lbs.
Rule 1.3; any bowls travelling over a
footer must be returned.
Rule 7.1.b. a disturbed bowl will be
treated the same as a disturbed jack.
10.2. Nicotine inhalers have been
added to the list of devices that can
not be used on the green during play
unless there is a medical exemption.
10.3. Players will not be allowed to
play in bare or stockinged feet.
