Knockout Cup Rules
[ Dates of Play ]
- All ties up to and including Quarter-Final to be played at the home team venue.
The first team drawn in each tie will be the home team.
Practice and blocks will be as normal league matches.
- The home team captain to give three different days/dates to the opposition within 7 days of being informed the draw. Dates of the same day of week will not be regarded as fulfilling this condition.
- Ties not played by the due date, both teams to be scratched unless a prior agreement has been sanctioned by the committee.
- Once a player has played for a team they cannot play for any another team.
The following handicaps will apply up to and including Quarter-Final.
Division One winner from previous season will be on scratch, each team thereafter to receive 2 chalks per league position as at end of previous season.
The away team to also receive a further 25.5 chalks.
2018 WINNER - Empire Services 'B' to give 10 chalks.
2017 WINNER - Lostock Hall Con 'A' to give 5 chalks.
In the event of teams sharing the same green being drawn against each other.
Both teams to receive the home handicap, with a further 0.5 chalk to be received by the lowest league positioned team. Both teams shall have alternate blocks.
- The Semi-Finals & Final will be played on neutral greens.
Teams to receive the handicap based on league position on date of play, with a further 0.5 chalk to be received by the lowest league positioned team.
- In the Semi-Finals and Final, cards are to be paired up before 6:25pm.
Practice for pairings numbered 6 to 10 will be 6:30pm - 6:42pm.
Practice for pairings numbered 1 to 5 will be 6:45pm - 6:57pm.
Markers and measurers are to be provided by all teams.
- The team with the greater aggregate will win the tie in all rounds.
- Any matters not covered in these rules will be dealt with by a Sub-Committee.
