I have been informed that handbooks were not introduced until 1982. Prior to this, teams had their fixtures and contact numbers printed out on sheets. If this is true, then the records below are the only records for the Leyland and District Crown Green Bowling League that appear in the handbook.
If you know different, it would be appreciated that any records prior to the ones shown below are forwarded so that I can attempt to compile a complete and up to date record.

| 2007 In Division One, New Longton A were celebrating their Centenary. This may have spurred them on as they wrestled the title away from Hoghton A. Hoghton A had won the Championship for a record 7 previous seasons. John Hodson Jnr. made it a double for New Longton A in winning the Divisional Merit Award. John won by having a greater aggregate (+178) over team-mate Duncan Crabtree (+116). Both bowlers finished the season on equal number of Home and Away wins.
